  Actia "industrial" Nutrition Network

Under the aegis of ACTIA and because of the Priam Programm regarding the mediterranean food (CRITT PACA and TRIAL), lots of actions in nutrition have been developed from 1999, in complement of the Nutrialis Programm  from the ministery of research and the installation of the PNNS (december 2000).

       All the actions have been federate in an Actia Nutrition network, lively since 2003 by CRITT Agro Alimentaire Poitou-Charentes.This network is particularly dynamic and the others participants centers managed to have complementary actions within  or without ACTIA.

       The Nutrition network directed its activities in the prolongation of the trades of the Actia Centers and approaches the Nutrition under original aspects, on a national and European scale:

  • Nutritional audit of the products and the processes (practical guide) launched in june 2004 during Health and Foods days of la Rochelle
  • Methods of analysis and tables of nutritional composition of food (research projects in progress on the vitamins of the group B, phytosterols and the watery products),
  • Impact of technologies on the nutritional quality of food (presearch project on fatty fish, stewed apples, cooked ham, chips and the packed chopped meat)

A Network of ACTIA competence was constituted quickly on the three preceding aspects and it rests on:

  • The advisers in nutrition like: CRITT PACA, TRIAL, CRITT Poitou-charentes, ADRIA which animate the Network and are the hinges between the needs for the industrialists and know-how of the other centers,
  •  Analytical know-how on the nutrients of certain Centers Actia (SSHA for the vitamins, Aérial for the vitamins of the group B, CTCPA for polyphenols, ITERG and lipids, ADRIA...),
  • Know-how on the products and the processes of the majority of the Centers Actia (ADIV and the meats, CEVPM and fish, CTSCCV and ham, ITERG and the lipids, CTCPA and the fruits...),
  • Research partners high level upstream (AFSSA, INSERM, INRA) who bring to them biochemical and physiological of the nutrition or technological dimensions and modeling (ENSIA)      

       This Network is active with common actions (practical guide) on nutritionnal audit, web site of Nutriaa watches specific, but overall complementary individual action and research projects carried out by some of them  (Priam,  Health and Foods days , Programme in Brittany, first steps il Loraine…)

 Ce Réseau Actia Nutrition trouve tout son potentiel par la complémentarité et la volonté de chaque intervenant dans un véritable esprit de réseau, car ces compétences sont émergentes et elles se construisent ensemble a priori.

This Actia Network is the national Network of competence in industrial nutrition.

       Its strong originality is reinforced by its complete backing with traditional know-how of certain Centers in analyses, products and technologies. Its target is to consolidate themselves in the years to come and to become a network of excellence, through European program for example.
